Nicole Smith is a Registered Nurse with a 10-year career in aged care management. Nicole has a commitment to making a positive difference within the aged care sector. To support her to do this with a strong evidence base, she is studying her Masters in Gerontology. Nicole’s work practices are underpinned by a person-centred approach. This approach enables services to be more responsive to individual necessities. In addition, services provided within this approach are more sensitive to the provision of services which are is respectful of, and responsive to, the preferences, needs and values of people and those who care for them. She has recently worked as an aged care advisor to a busy general practice, supporting staff who work in residential aged care homes and GPs to provide a person-centred approach which is responsive and flexible to more effectively meet the diverse needs and preferences of people living in care homes. Nicole is the Business Manager for a busy nation-wide nursing agency, educating staff and stakeholders on the importance of a person-centred approach in aged care and facilitating free education sessions to residential aged care facilities across the ACT.

Anson Ivan ( HR Advisor & IT Consultant ) – MAHRI ( Member of AHRI)

Anson Ivan is a Human Resources Advisor and Consultant for multiple companies.  He holds a bachelors degree in economics and English, and a postgraduate certificate in Human Resources Management. Previously, Anson has been consulting and working closely with startup companies overseas in IT Services and the human resources sectors. Multinational corporations overseas in the telecom and services sector, sought out his expertise, leading him to enjoy various functional roles like information technology, sales and finance. Anson believes that "for profit social enterprise" is the new and fast growing way to do business. In his spare time, he is fond of reading, photography, music and is an amateur hobbyist of arts and culture.
